Our Goal

To use technology in a creative and responsible way to expand and express learning
Students will continue to develop awareness that technology is a human invention and we all have a responsibility to use technology as a tool for good, using our Catholic teaching to inform us as to what is good or bad.

We follow NYS Technology Standards,
ISTE (
International Society for Technology in Education),
NETS (
National Educational Technology Standards) and Diocese of Rockville Centre curriculum guidelines.

Profile
I received my BA degree from Mercyhurst College in Erie, Pa. and my Masters Degree from SUNY Stony Brook on Long Island. I am permanently certified to teach in NYS. I have over 10 years experience as a regular classroom teacher in grades 2-6 in Catholic schools in Pennsylvania, Georgia and the Diocese of Brooklyn. After taking a few years off while my 3 sons were very young, I returned to teaching part-time in what was then the new field of computer education. I taught 5 years in parochial schools contracted by an educational computer company. As computer technology started to become more integrated into the whole educational process, I began teaching Computer Technology at St. Brigid/OLH School where I have been the computer teacher and technology coordinator for the last 22 years and continue teaching 3 days a week. We have come a long way with Technology and I have found terrific support from our wonderful administration, teachers, students and parents.
