Entrance Requirements

For children entering St. Brigid/Our Lady of Hope Regional School for the first time the following is required: 

• A parent/child interview with the principal
• Proper immunization record
• Birth or baptismal certificate

• Children must have their third birthday on or before December 1 of the year entering school.
• Children must be toilet trained on entrance in September.

• Children must have their fourth birthday on or before December 1 of the year entering school.

• Children must have their fifth birthday on or before December 1 of the year entering school.
• A screening evaluation is required for all children entering Kindergarten.

• Any child who has not completed a year’s work in Kindergarten must have the sixth birthday on or before December 1 of the year entering first grade.
• A screening evaluation is required for all children entering first grade.

• All children in grades 2 through 8 must take an entrance examination and visit during a school day as part of the admissions process.
